Quicker Baked Potato

Try this method for speeding up the potato baking process (for a better texture than those that you microwave). Pre-heat the oven to 400. Place the potato in boiling water for 10 minutes. Bake for 30 minutes. This will cut the cooking time in half.

Crockpot Chile Stew

1 whole chicken, cut up
4 cup water
10 oz can cream of mushroom
1 or cream of chicken soup
12 corn tortillas
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 pkg chicken gravy mix
1/2 cup chopped green chile

Cook chicken in crockpot with water to cover, about 4 hours. Add remaining ingredients the last half hour of cooking. Allow to boil until tortillas are tender. Serve over rice. Makes 5 - 6 servings. Walt Judy Howle "Flavors of the South" howle@ebicom.net http://www.ebicom.net/~howle
