Quicker Baked Potato

Try this method for speeding up the potato baking process (for a better texture than those that you microwave). Pre-heat the oven to 400. Place the potato in boiling water for 10 minutes. Bake for 30 minutes. This will cut the cooking time in half.

 

Carrot-miso Pate


appetizers, vegetables, low-fat, spreads

2 cup carrots, sliced
3 each slices ginger
2 each green onions, chopped
2 tablespoon mellow white miso
1 tablespoon maple syrup

Steam carrots, ginger & green onions until the the carrots are tender, about 10 minutes. Transfer to a food processor & blend until smooth along with the remaining ingredients. Spoon into a dish & serve. "Vegetarian Gourmet, Special Low-Fat Issue" 1995
